Water Quality and Legionella Risk Assessment
EPSCO offers a combined Water Quality and Legionella Risk Assessment for offshore potable water systems designed to help deliver safe and wholesome water to offshore assets. Our trained and certified assessors have vast knowledge and experience of the unique conditions faced by Offshore Operators in the management of offshore potable water and offer practical solutions to help comply with legislation and best practice.
Potable water cleaning and disinfection
Routine cleaning and disinfection of Potable Water Systems is essential for the safe delivery of Potable Water to personnel offshore. EPSCO’s proprietary EPSolve system delivers unparalleled cleanliness by simultaneously cleaning and disinfecting tanks, bunker hose, calorifiers and pipework to remove fouling and microbial activity. With no need for chlorination following cleaning, our methods save valuable time and resources. Any programme of works can be tailored to the asset so as to minimize system outages during cleaning sequence.
Emergency De-Contamination Experts
Not all events are foreseeable and when potable water systems are compromised it affects everyone on the asset. We have the solutions, equipment and teams to react quickly to developing situations and to rapidly return (biologically or chemically) contaminated potable water systems back to full health and allow normal operations to resume. Legionella and Hydrocarbon contamination can be solved using EPSCO’s EPSolve system with sequences tailored to suit assets and reduce system outages or down manned periods
Training
Offshore potable water presents a variety of challenges due to the unique conditions presented by complex aging systems in a harsh environment. EPSCO offers CBT modules designed specifically for the offshore environment. Where basic legionella awareness courses do not consider offshore assets EPSCO endeavored to provide operators with an online course to help offshore personnel understand how ACoP L8 affects them. Additional modules for dedicated offshore roles ensuring everyone is aware and trained to play their part in maintaining wholesome water offshore. Modules are available on a by license basis or on a perpetual license agreement suited to your needs.
Supply of water quality products
Monitoring water quality parameters requires the right equipment and EPSCO provide a range of tools for the job. From dipslides and digital photometers to Point of Use Showerheads EPSCO can deliver the equipment you need to run an effective monitoring programme and maintain system safety.
Seawater cooling system cleaning
Seawater cooling systems can often suffer performance issues related to macrofouling caused non-calcified organics (larvae, spats and planktonics for the main mollusks/crustaceans) and traditional soft macro and micro-fouling (algae, slimes, biofilms, seaweeds, hydroids). This has a further effect on the biosecurity of any asset which transits international waters. EPSCO have developed a two stage chemical treatment to remove hard fouling (shell and scaling) and soft fouling (organics), to achieve biosecurity and increased operational efficiency. All cleaning is carried out without the need for intrusive breaking of pipework and intense pressure jetting.”
